  • oven;
  • pan;
  • pusher for mashed potatoes;
  • grater;
  • a baking sheet;
  • parchment paper.

Ingredients

Medium sized potatoes 5 - 6 pcs.
Egg 1 PC.
Wheat flour 100 g
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l
Salt 1/2 tsp
Hard cheese 50 g
Ground black pepper taste
Sesame seeds 2 tsp
Garlic 1 clove

Step cooking

  1. Potatoes in the amount of 5 - 6 pieces, peel and wash thoroughly.
    For the preparation of Finnish tortillas. prepare the ingredients
  2. Place it and 1 clove of garlic in a saucepan and, pouring water, boil until tender.

  3. After the potatoes are boiled, drain the water (we don’t go anywhere with the garlic clove), add 1 \ 2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil and mash it all with the help of a pusher, turning into mashed potatoes. Let the mashed potatoes cool to room temperature.
    For Finnish tortillas, mix the ingredients.
  4. In the cooled potatoes, add a little black pepper, 1 raw egg and again, mix everything thoroughly again with the help of a pusher. Then add to the contents of the pan pre-grated hard cheese in an amount of 50 g, and 100 g of premium wheat flour. Once again, mix everything thoroughly.

  5. From the resulting potato dough we form with wet hands small round "cones" with a diameter of about 5 - 8 cm.

  6. Then from the "cones" we form directly round round flat cakes with a thickness of about 0.5 cm and lay them on a baking sheet previously covered with parchment paper. We take a fork and carefully pierce the resulting cakes throughout the area.

  7. After the manipulation, sprinkle the cakes with sesame seeds and put the pan in a preheated oven to 220 degrees. In the oven, bake cakes until golden brown (about 15 - 20 minutes). After a specified period of time, we get the resulting dish, let it cool slightly and feast on it with pleasure.

Such potato cakes should be served with sauce, for the preparation of which you will need a small amount of sour cream (about 100 - 200 g), a bunch of green onions, chopped garlic clove, a pinch of salt and a little black pepper.
