Step cooking
- Before cooking, weigh the required amount of minced meat, boil rice, peel the inside and seeds, and also peel the onions, carrots, garlic, wash the tomatoes and herbs.
- To prepare the stuffing for stuffed peppers, take a deep bowl and put the minced meat there. Add boiled rice to it.
- Salt and pepper to taste, mix well.
- Put on a fire to heat the pan, add about a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Put the peppers prepared for stuffing in a hot pan and fry on each side for about 1-1.5 minutes. This is necessary so that excess bitterness comes out. Then remove them on a flat dish or tray to cool.
- Dice one tomato and chop the greens. Add this to a bowl with future toppings. Squeeze 1-2 cloves of garlic there and mix everything again.
- Finely chop two onions in a cube, grate two carrots on a coarse grater.
- Fry in a heated pan with vegetable oil until cooked.
- Pour the prepared roasting into minced meat and mix everything until a homogeneous mass is obtained. If desired, you can still salt and add seasonings at your discretion.
- When the peppers have cooled slightly, you need to fill them with the resulting filling.
- To prepare the sauce, cut two medium onions into small strips, pass through a press or finely chop 3-4 garlic cloves, grate two small carrots on a fine grater, and cut two small peppers into small strips.
- Grate the remaining tomatoes on a fine grater or chop in a blender.
- In a frying pan, send the onion with garlic, fry until transparent.
- Then add pepper and carrots, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour mashed potatoes from chopped tomatoes into the pan, add salt, bay leaf and allspice. Stir the contents and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Put the peppers standing, open part up, in a cast iron or pan with a thick bottom.
- Spread the cooked sauce on top.
- Put the peppers stewed on medium heat. The approximate cooking time is 30-40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the pan and the size of the pepper with the filling. Serve at the table for lunch or dinner with sour cream.
