Step cooking
- First you need to cook shells until half ready. Put the pot of water on the fire, bring to a boil, salt and add a little sunflower oil, then put 250 g of pasta. The approximate cooking time is 7-10 minutes after boiling, however, do not forget to look at the packaging for the recommended cooking time.
- While cooking pasta, rinse 450 g of meat, cut into small pieces, and then chop it through a meat grinder. If desired, mince can be passed through a meat grinder several times, so the taste will be more delicate.
- Peel and rinse 2 onions, cut half the onion into small pieces and send to grind to mincemeat.
- Drain the pasta and let it drain, then pour them into a bowl so that they stand for a while and cool.
- One and a half bulbs chop manually, try to cut as finely as possible.
- Pour 30 ml of sunflower oil into a deep skillet or stewpan and put on a heat to heat a little, then pour the onion there (it should not be golden).
- Constantly stir the onion so that it becomes soft, but does not change color, and then add 1 tbsp to it. l soy sauce and wait for the liquid to evaporate.
- Add the fried onions to the minced meat and mix.
- Chop parsley or dill, basil and green onions, and then add to the minced meat with onions. Also, ground meat should be salt, add ground pepper, 1 tsp. oregano, 1 tsp savory, as well as chopped bay leaf.
- Now you can start cooking Bechamel sauce. Put 100 g butter in a deep pan and wait until it melts.
- Separately, in a saucepan, heat 1 liter of milk to hot (do not boil).
- When the butter has melted, add 4 tbsp. To it. l flour and mix thoroughly with a whisk so that no lumps form.
- Then turn off the gas and pour several ladles of milk into the butter and flour, mix. Pour in the remaining milk gradually while continuing to mix thoroughly.
- When there are several ladles left in the stewpan, add salt and nutmeg to it.
- After pour all the milk to the butter-flour mixture and mix until smooth without lumps.
- Take a baking sheet with high sides. Start each shell with minced meat and put on a baking sheet close to each other, but not in 2 layers.
- Sauce “Bechamel” pour the shells on top and send to a preheated oven. Bake the dish for 20-30 minutes at 180 degrees.
- Before serving stuffed shells, pour them with the remaining sauce and sprinkle with herbs. You can also garnish with grated cheese.
