Ingredients
- Minced meat - 500 g
- Boiled rice (half-cooked) - 250 g
- Chicken Egg - 1 pc.
- Ground red pepper - 1/2 tsp.
- Ground paprika - 1 tsp.
- Seasoning for meat dishes - 1 tbsp. l
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Onions - 2 pcs.
- Cold water - 500 ml
- Tomato paste - 150 g
- Sugar - 1 tbsp. l
- Flour - 1 tsp.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Bay leaf - 3 pcs.
- Vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. l
Step cooking
- First, peel 1 small onion and cut it into small cubes. Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and heat it well. Put the chopped onion in a preheated pan and fry it until light golden color.
- While the onion is fried, transfer 500 g of minced meat to a deep bowl. Then we add to it 250 g of cooled, half-cooked rice, 1 raw chicken egg, seasoning for meat dishes, as well as salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Add the fried onion to the minced meat and mix everything again, and then knead to the desired state with your hands.
- Next, we proceed to the formation of hedgehogs. To do this, hands should be slightly moistened with water. Separate some minced meat and roll a small ball out of it.
- Formed hedgehog spread in a container in which we will stew it. It can be a large frying pan or stewpan. In the same way, we form all the other hedgehogs.
- Then proceed to the preparation of tomato sauce. To do this, peel 1 more onion and cut it into quarters. Fry chopped onion in vegetable oil until translucent.
- While the onion is fried, peel 1 small carrot and rub it on a coarse grater.
- After the onion is fried to the desired state, add the grated carrots to it, mix and continue to fry until the carrots become soft.
- In a small bowl we spread 150 g of tomato paste, add 1 tbsp. To it. l sugar, 1 tsp. flour, salt and pepper to taste, pour 500 ml of cold water and mix everything thoroughly with a whisk.
- Add the fried carrots with onions to the sauce and mix.
- Pour the resulting hedgehogs with the resulting sauce and add the bay leaf to them.
- After that, cover the pan or stewpan with a lid and send to stew over medium heat. From the moment of boiling, simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes. Meat hedgehogs go well with any side dishes. Enjoy your meal.
