How to make a dough
- Sift flour (2-2.5 cups) using a sieve. Pour a glass of warm drinking water (a little warmer than room temperature) into a deep bowl (with a capacity of at least 3 liters).
- Add granulated sugar (1 teaspoon) to the water.
- Finely crush pressed baker's yeast (25 grams) into a bowl. It is advisable that the yeast be fresh. When buying, pay attention to the product release date, expiration date. On fresh yeast, the dough is more lush and soft.
- Using a pastry spatula, mix the mixture until smooth.
- Add sifted wheat flour (1 cup) to the bowl.
- Stir the dough until smooth. Cover with a cotton cloth. Put in a warm place for 10-15 minutes so that the dough comes up.
Cooking dough
- Add granulated sugar (1 teaspoon) to the matched dough. Pour common salt (0.5 teaspoon) into the mixture. Salt take ordinary, not iodized.
- Stir the dough until sugar and salt are completely dissolved. Add sifted flour (1 cup).
- Stir the mixture until smooth with a pastry spatula. When all the flour has been absorbed, knead with your hands. If the batch is liquid and does not stick together, add a little more flour. Do not overdo it with the addition, the dough should be soft, it can stick a little to your hands.
- Pour the vegetable oil (40 ml) onto the walls of the bowl in a circle.
- Knead the product until it has absorbed all the oil. Then cover the bowl with a cotton cloth. Put it in a warm place for 10-15 minutes to make the dough fit.
- Knead the approached pasty mass again. Note - the longer you knead the yeast dough, the more magnificent the products from it will be.
- Cover with a napkin, wait another 10 minutes. After this, you can proceed to the formation of pies. The resulting dough is cut with hands lubricated with sunflower oil (so that it does not stick). From this test, you get soft, lush pies fried in a pan. As a filling, a variety of fillers are used: mashed potatoes, boiled eggs with green onions, stewed cabbage, other products and mixtures.
