Step cooking
- First of all, thoroughly rinse 4 medium-sized quinces under cold tap water. Cut the fruit in half and remove the core, seeds and rotten areas, if any.
- Cut the quince into small thin slices.
- Four onions are peeled, washed with water and cut into half rings.
- Pour 30-40 ml of olive or refined sunflower oil into a well-heated pan.
- In hot oil we spread chopped onions.
- Fry the vegetable over medium heat until soft and slightly amber. Add the chopped quince there, mix the ingredients well.
- After 5 minutes, add salt and ground red pepper, focusing on personal taste. We fry the components over medium heat with quite frequent and regular stirring for 15-20 minutes. We check the quince readiness with a knife - as soon as the knife easily passes through the vegetable, it means that the dish has reached its readiness.
- A few minutes before cooking, add 15-20 g of granulated sugar, since during the cooking process the quince becomes sour. Serve hot spicy dish.
