Step cooking
- We will prepare all the necessary ingredients and a work surface. Drive 4 chilled eggs into a deep bowl. Pour 0.5 tsp. salt and 0.5 tsp soda.
- Pour 0.5 cups of sugar and mix well. You can use a mixer or a blender, or you can mix with a whisk. A homogeneous and airy mass should be obtained.
- We sift 400 g of wheat flour in order to enrich it with oxygen, and it became airy. Pour it portionwise into the egg mixture. Mix thoroughly each time. The result is a soft and flexible dough that does not stick to your hands.
- Wrap the dough with cling film or put in a bag, and leave at room temperature for 10 - 15 minutes. We cut the rest of the dough into 2 - 3 parts to make it easier to work with it.
- Sprinkle the working surface with flour and form a bundle with a diameter of 1 cm from each piece of dough. Then, using a sharp knife, cut each bundle into pieces 1 - 1.5 cm long.
- Sprinkle the prepared pieces abundantly with flour so that they do not stick together and stick to the work surface. In total, you will need approximately 50 g of flour to sprinkle the dough. Leave the pieces in the open air for 10 - 15 minutes, so that the dough is slightly dried.
- Put the stewpan on the stove, pour 0.5 cups of sugar and 200 g of honey, stirring, bring the mass to a boil. After boiling, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the syrup for 7 - 10 minutes.
- Pour about 500 ml of odorless vegetable oil into a deep, but not very wide pan, warm it well. Pre-install the grid for deep fat in the pan. If you do not have a mesh, you can use a metal sieve or use a slotted spoon. When the oil has warmed up, reduce the heat and spread the pieces of dough in one layer. It is important to mix them during the frying process so that they are evenly cooked. After the balls have become golden on all sides, take them out. Shake the net well so that the excess oil is glass, or lay the balls on a paper towel.
- Thus, fry all the balls. Spread the finished pieces in a deep bowl and pour the syrup, mix so that each piece is saturated with it.
- We shift the balls to a beautiful dish in the form of a slide. Top with the remaining syrup. We invite everyone to the table. You can serve chuck-chak with your favorite drink - tea, coffee, milk.
