Step cooking
- Sift 90 g of wheat flour into a deep container with a sieve. Add 2 chicken eggs, 1 pinch of salt and 1/4 tsp to flour. soda. Mix everything thoroughly (as much as possible).
- Then we spread the contents of the container on the work surface, add another 90 g of sifted flour and knead a thick dough (it should look like a dumpling dumpling in consistency).
- We put the resulting dough in a plastic bag and leave it to rest for 30 minutes.
- After a specified period of time, we take out the dough from the package. Lightly sprinkle the working surface with the remnants of flour and roll out the dough on it into a layer about 2 mm thick using a rolling pin.
- Cut the rolled out dough into strips about 3 cm wide with a knife.
- Then cut the resulting strips across thin strips.
- Pour vegetable oil for frying in a pan with a thick bottom (so much oil is needed that the dough floats in it and fries like in deep fat) and put on fire. When the oil is heated, we start portioning the sliced dough into it and fry it until it reaches a pleasant golden color (each “portion” must be fried for about 3-4 minutes).
- We take out the fried dough from the oil using a slotted spoon and put it on a dish covered with paper towels.
- When the dough has cooled, transfer it to a deep bowl. In a stewpan or pan with a thick bottom, mix 250 g of honey and 70 g of sugar.
- We put the stewpan on a slow fire and carefully mix its contents. Continuing to stir, we warm the syrup over low heat for about 10 minutes (until the grains of honey and sugar are completely dissolved), preventing it from boiling. Pour the pieces of fried dough with the prepared hot syrup. Mix everything quickly and thoroughly so that the syrup is evenly distributed between the pieces of dough.
- Lightly grease the demountable form with butter. We shift the dough into it, mixed with syrup, and carefully ram with a hand moistened in cold water.
- Allow the contents of the mold to cool completely, and then cover the mold with cling film and remove it for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator.
- After a specified period of time, we take out the dessert from the refrigerator, remove the film and the sides of the form, and cut the treat in portions. Enjoy your meal!
