Step cooking
- Pour two tablespoons of dry yeast and three tablespoons of sugar into a deep container. Then add 700 milliliters of warm boiled water, a couple of spoons of sifted flour and mix well with a whisk. Leave the food mixture in the container for several minutes at room temperature.
- Next, add three more tablespoons of sugar, one teaspoon of salt, 180 milliliters of vegetable oil to the container. Stir the ingredients in a container and start adding the sifted flour portionwise there, gradually kneading the dough. About 1200 grams of flour is spent on the dough. Knead it first in a bowl, then shift all the dough to the surface, continue to knead hard for about another five minutes. The dough should be elastic, uniform and airy. Lubricate the formed piece of dough on top with a tablespoon of vegetable oil and leave it to stand at room temperature for an hour in a dry place, transferring it to a container and covering it with a towel.
- An hour later, the dough should rise very well. For convenience, before working with the dough, grease your hands with vegetable oil so that it does not stick to your fingers and does not interfere with your beautifully baked pastries.
- Form a sausage from the dough and evenly divide it into portions. The size of the buns can be arbitrary depending on your preference. But remember that this will affect the baking time. The larger the product, the more time it will spend in the oven. You can decorate buns the way you want. You can cook both sweet and savory buns using a variety of toppings. The best option is to cook buns with jam or jam. If you use fresh fruits, be prepared that they will dispense a lot of juice, which may affect the result. Therefore, I advise you to caramelize juicy fruits before use. Delicious filling is obtained from homemade cheese with chopped dried apricots and raisins or stewed chicken with mushrooms. I do not recommend using raw minced meat as a filling. The meat will definitely not have time to cook at the same time as the dough. Therefore, replace it with ham in combination with cheese and herbs.
- Place the decorated buns on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Grease them with an egg on top using a cooking brush and sprinkle with sugar or sesame seeds if desired. Send the buns in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve buns cooled with tea or compote.
