Step cooking
- We clean the onion, mine, cut into small cubes. We turn on the slow cooker in the "Frying" mode, heat it up, pour vegetable oil, send the chopped onion. Passing, stirring occasionally, 1-2 minutes.
- Then peel the carrots, wash them, grate, send to the onion. A medium-sized carrot will suffice. You can grind it in a combine or on a medium grater. Then we clean the beets, wash them, grate them, send them to the slow cooker and fry them with other vegetables. Enough beets of medium size. The best will be fresh, sweet, then the finished borscht will have a sweetish taste.
- Then cut off the third part of a large bell pepper, or use one small one. My, cut into small cubes, sent to vegetables in a slow cooker. Bell pepper gives the finished borsch a piquant taste.
- Cut the beef pulp into small pieces so that it cooks faster. You can use any meat of your choice. Beef can be replaced with chicken, pork or any other meat of your choice. We send meat to vegetables, mix everything well.
- Then I wash a large tomato, cut it into small cubes, send it to the slow cooker. Tomato can be replaced with tomato paste or ketchup. Or, if you wish, you can combine a tomato and tomato paste, then the taste of the finished meal will be very spicy.
- The approximate time for frying vegetables is 10 minutes. Then we put beef bone on the bottom of the multicooker. If it is not, you can do without a bone. But it is she who will make the broth rich and useful.
- Then chop the cabbage, send to the slow cooker. For chopping, you can use a food processor, grater for chopping or a regular knife.
- We wash 3 potato tubers, cut into small cubes, send to the slow cooker.
- Then add the spices: 1 tbsp. l salt, 2 bay leaves.
- Separately, boil the water in the kettle. Borsch will be poured with boiling water, so vegetables will not turn into porridge. Pour boiling water to the recommended level of your slow cooker. Select the “Soup” mode, time 1 hour 30 minutes.
- Wash the garlic, pass through the press, send to the finished borsch. We wash the greens, dry, chop finely, send to the finished borsch.
- We take the bay leaf from the dish, close the lid, leave for 10 minutes. After that, you can serve with sour cream and rye bread.
