Step cooking
Dough
- Pour 250 g of cottage cheese into a deep bowl and knead it with a fork for 1-2 minutes, then sift 350 g of flour and 2 tsp into it. baking powder.
- Grind the dry ingredients into a homogeneous crumb, then add 250 g of melted butter. You can melt the oil in a water bath or in the microwave.
- Knead the dough: first with a spoon, and when it becomes lumpy, with your hands sprinkled with flour on the working surface. Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes to make it homogeneous, soft and elastic.
- We roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a rectangle, fold it up twice, put it in a plastic bag or cling film and send it to the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Impregnation and Glaze
- For impregnation we take 7 tbsp. l sugar and add to them 5-6 tbsp. l warm water and mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Glaze do so: to 3 tsp. icing sugar add ½ tsp. water and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Stir until smooth. It is important that the glaze is not liquid, but rather thick and stretching.
Biscuit
- After we take out the dough from the refrigerator, again roll it to a rectangular sheet and align the edges with a knife. We wrap the edges on both sides to the center to get two rolls. We cut portioned billets for cookies with a thickness of 1-2 cm and give them the shape of hearts.
- We spread the future cookies on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, and bake the dish for 20 minutes in a preheated oven to 200ºC.
- Let the liver cool. We cover one side with sugar impregnation, immersing the product in it for a couple of seconds, and let it dry. Then cover the other side of the cookie with icing and let it freeze.
- We serve ready-made cookies with hot tea, coffee or milk. You can add any jam, jam, topping, lemon zest, cinnamon, etc. to your taste.
