Step cooking
We all remember grandma’s pies, which were surprisingly tasty, fragrant. Today we’ll make a vegetable pie with potato dough.
- Boil 300 g of potatoes in salted water, add 50 grams of butter and one egg, make mashed potatoes. We put it aside in order to cool, we ourselves will prepare the filling for the pie.
- We cut one tomato at the top crosswise, put in a bowl, pour boiling water over it. After a few seconds, peel it, cut into small slices. I wash the carrots under the tap, peel, cut into half slices. Peel the onion, mine, cut into half rings. My zucchini, peeled and peeled, cut into small pieces. A small bell pepper is also washed under running water, cleaned from the seeds inside, cut into small plates.
- Pour 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a preheated pan, add chopped onion, send the prepared carrots almost immediately, mix, add the bell pepper. We fry all these vegetables, constantly mixing, then we send the chopped zucchini to them and continue to fry for 5-7 minutes. We shift the finished vegetables on a plate, free the meat pan.
- Cut the meat for the filling into small pieces. We put half a kilogram of chicken on this frying pan. For the filling, you can take any other: beef, turkey, pork, it depends on your preferences. You can use minced meat, but it seems to me that the slices are better, this gives the meat a juiciness. Fry the meat for a short time, just five minutes, then add a few tomatoes, sliced earlier, continue to fry for a few more seconds, then add all the vegetables prepared for the filling, mix, keep it on fire for a few seconds, set aside - let it cool.
- The potato for the dough has already cooled. We begin to add flour to it gradually, mix with a tablespoon, roll up until it stops sticking to our hands. I use 200 grams of flour, this is enough, it should be soft.
- We take a detachable form, put parchment paper down, grease the bottom of the form with melted butter, put the dough there, make high sides, we need to place the filling.
- The cooled filling is placed in a colander in order to remove the liquid. We keep this sauce, it will be useful to us. The vegetables contained in the colander are spread on the dough.
- Separately, break two eggs, salt, pepper to taste, beat thoroughly with a fork, add 100 ml of milk, stir and pour the pie on top.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and send the pie there for 40-50 minutes. While the cake is baking, we will prepare the sauce.Pour a little water left from the filling into the saucepan, add a teaspoon of flour, mix well so that there are no lumps, add the remaining liquid, put on fire, cook until thick. Here you can add a teaspoon of French mustard and a few basil leaves, the sauce will be saturated, with a delicious smell.
- Grate the processed cheese on a coarse grater, remove the cake from the oven and sprinkle on top. Again, send it to the oven for another 10 minutes. For such topping, you can use any cheese available in the refrigerator.
- Ten minutes later, the cake is ready. It smells very good, I want to try it soon. When serving, pour the cake with sauce, but this is for spicy lovers.
This cake is suitable for the whole family, for treating friends at a meeting. Very tasty, juicy, most importantly - low-calorie, but useful for its vegetable composition.
