Step cooking
- To begin with, 150 grams of onion (this is 1 large onion, or 2 medium in size) should be cut into half rings.
- Pour into a cauldron 3 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Spread onions there and fry until golden brown.
- Cut medium slices of 500 grams of beef. And send the meat to the cauldron, to the onion. Mix everything well with a wooden (or silicone) spatula and wait until the meat is browned.
- When the meat is reduced in volume (almost 2 times), it must be filled with a glass (200 ml) of warm water and cover the cauldron with a lid. Now leave the meat and onions to simmer for 1.5 hours over low heat. Periodically make sure that all liquid does not boil away.
- While the meat is stewed, finely chop the pickles. We need about 200 grams (and these are 3 medium cucumbers).
- Potatoes (500 grams) need to be peeled and cut into strips.
- After 1.5 hours, open the lid of the cauldron and add 1 tbsp to the meat. l wheat flour, as well as 2 tbsp. l tomato paste. Mix everything well and leave to languish for 4-5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, add the pickles to the meat and mix again.
- We put the pan on the stove and pour a little vegetable oil. We wait until it warms up well, and pour the potatoes. It should be a little fried and find a crisp.
- We return to the beef and pour in 1 glass of cucumber pickle. Close the casserole with a lid again, let it continue to stew.
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped very finely. We do the same with fresh herbs (30 grams). It's time to salt the beef, and add a little red pepper to the potatoes. When adding spices, focus on your taste.
- When the potatoes are almost ready, pour it into a cauldron, to beef. Stir the fried potatoes with meat and pour the chopped garlic and herbs.
- Leave the basics to languish for another 2-3 minutes on the stove. And then turn it off.
