Wrap it in cellophane, and on top with a dense fabric, which then will not be a pity to throw it away. After that, lay out your clothes on the board and start cleaning. To handle the trouser leg or sleeve, it is convenient to use a special narrow stand, which usually comes with a trowel. In this case, the sleeve or leg is pulled onto the stand.
How to remove paint from clothing if the stain is located on a narrow area of fabric? For example, this is a child’s tracksuit or bottom of pants. Use the same precautions when covering the ironing board with a cloth. Put the wardrobe item to be cleaned with the desired section up, and put an additional piece of fabric in two layers inside the sleeve or leg.
We wash off fresh "blots"
Let's start with how to get fresh paint from clothes. You need to do this as quickly as possible. To remove a fresh stain from dark and colored fabrics and even a white shirt will help laundry soap. But from light trousers, a fresh stain can be removed with acetone: moisten a cotton pad in it, gently rub the place of contamination.
Soap
Features. The easiest way to remove stains from watercolor and water-based paints, which most often have to be removed from children's clothes - soap solution. You need to cook it from laundry soap.

- Moisten a spot with a prepared soap solution (one tablespoon of soap chips per 200 ml of moderately hot water).
- Rub the fabric with the hard side of the sponge. Clean in a circle, slightly beyond the boundaries of the stain. If this is knitwear, try not to stretch the fabric.
- Apply soapy water to the fabric again. Leave on for five to seven minutes.
- Then brush the area thoroughly and rinse with clean, warm water.
- Wash the item in the washing machine in a suitable fabric mode.
Sunflower oil
Features. Vegetable oil is used to clean woolen clothes, as well as products made of polyester and cashmere.

- Moisten a cotton swab or piece of soft tissue in vegetable oil.
- Treat the place of contamination with light circular motions.
- Leave the stain to soak for 15-20 minutes.
- Then, carefully with a clean cloth, remove the visible layer of paint from the surface.
- Blot the fabric on both sides with two sheets of clean white paper to remove any oil residue.
- Apply a stain remover suitable for the fabric.
- Maintain the time indicated in the instructions.
- Wash the item in the washing machine. If this is black clothing, put it on an extra rinse.
Dishwashing detergent
Features. This is a way to remove stains of paint from clothes that are used when playing paintball. Fresh paint from paintball is displayed in warm water with the usual dishwashing detergent. In this game, gelatin-based dyes are used to fill the balls. Therefore, the cleaning process is guaranteed to be effective.
Instruction manual
- In a five-liter bucket, draw a little more than half of the warm water.
- Add 150 ml dishwashing detergent to the water.
- Stir until smooth.
- Dip a cotton towel in soapy water.
- Rub it with your hands to evenly distribute the product.
- Squeeze the towel a little and quickly in a circular motion remove the spot of paint from the clothes soaked in clean warm water.
- Wash clothes in the washing machine in the appropriate fabric mode.
How to wipe off stubborn paint from clothes
If soap also copes with fresh stains, then more powerful tools will help to remove old paint from clothes. Always wear protective rubber gloves.
Enamel
Such a sufficiently resistant paint, such as alkyd enamel, will have to be removed using white spirit. Dampen a cotton swab in a solvent. Carefully process the stain, 2-3 mm beyond its edges. If necessary, repeat the procedure until all contamination is removed.
Stamped
Stamp ink, which can be water, alcohol or oil based, can be removed in several ways at once. Choose the appropriate one depending on the type of fabric. After any cleaning method, you need to wash the wardrobe item in the washing machine in the appropriate mode.
- Ammonia plus turpentine. The ingredients must be mixed in equal proportions, applied to the surface of the fabric and wiped off with a rag after two hours. The method is suitable for delicate products.
- Denatured alcohol plus glycerin. This mixture is especially effective for removing stains of paint from a leather jacket. The proportion is 1: 1. Using a soft cloth dipped in the product, the stain is carefully treated, kept for 20-30 minutes and washed off.
- Mustard. In such a simple way, you can remove the ink stain from silk fabric. Mix mustard with water in such a proportion that you get a thick slurry. Apply it to the surface of the stain. After a day, rinse under the tap.
Façade
The most persistent stains on clothing leaves facade paint. It is acrylic, silicate, cement, lime and siloxane. Such stubborn paint is quite difficult to remove from most fabrics. However, if you are sure that the wardrobe item will “survive” the digestion, you can try to remove the stains. At the very least, removing the acrylic stain from clothing by boiling will definitely work. Stains from stained glass paint are similarly removed. The procedure consists of ten actions.
- Wash clothes in a basin in warm water using laundry soap.
- Pour water in half a bucket or pan of stainless steel.
- Put on fire to heat.
- Add a tablespoon of soda ash.
- Put the clothes in a bucket of hot water and bring to a boil.
- Boil for no more than two to three minutes, then change the water and repeat the procedure.
- The second time you do not need to add soda, only one and a half tablespoons of powder.
- You can additionally add one teaspoon of bleach if you need to remove dried paint from white clothing.
- After boiling, rinse the item in the washing machine, and then wash at 40 ° C.
- After washing, put on the rinse cycle again.
Cleaning after the holiday of paints
Another form of pollution that can occur if you become a participant in a popular Hindu festival in early spring is the stains from Holi colors. They can easily be washed off the body with soap and water. But with clothes, things are somewhat different.
Holi paints are powders made from various plants, incorporating bright pigments mixed with corn or wheat flour. For example, red is obtained from sandalwood, bright yellow from turmeric, and saturated blue from indigo bushes.
Holi paints can be water soluble and fat soluble. The latter is more difficult to wash. Things are even worse if, in addition to bright natural colors, dirt also gets on the clothes.
The festival - the event is always quite active, and given the specifics of the Holi festival, you are guaranteed to return home with colorful spots on clothes. Therefore, it is recommended to wear something simple. A bright plain t-shirt and jeans are perfect for outdoor activities. And for knitwear, and for denim in this case, a single way to "wash". Brush off a thing, with a soft dry rag remove the remnants of colored powders. And then just wash the items in a stain remover.
And one more tip. Remove paint from clothing, if it was stained with natural dyes, you can use ammonia. Wash the clothes first, and then replace the procedure with salt by soaking the cloth in warm water with ammonia. In 5 l of water add three teaspoons of the drug. After an hour, put your clothes in the drum of the machine.
